With it being revealed that co-presenter Sabine Schmitz had made Chris Evans sick this week, whilst he sat in the passenger seat, the media was quick to claim the show was in yet more turmoil. In reality of course, Sabine had been driving on the limit and Chris (in the passenger seat), simply started to feel sick, which is fair enough.
Now it has been revealed that the boss in charge of BBC 2 has quit. Apparently she had been clashing with Chris Evans and getting involved too much, in the show. The media of course claimed this is the end of the new Top Gear. But in reality if she was clashing with Chris this could be a step in the right direction.
She won’t be replaced directly, but someone called Charlotte Moore will be put in charge of TV and iplayer, which seems a big department to be in charge of but there you go. If the reports around clashes with her predecessor and Evans are true though, this could mean a fresh start to the new show. Time will tell.
